- [Rik] Welcome to chapter eight. Chapter eight is called Lodestone. And in this chapter,
we're gonna be working on organic movement but what
does that actually mean? In the last chapter, we
added thousands of shapes to our project using instancing but these points only
moved around using noise. What happens if we wanted
to move things around based on attraction or flocking? What happens if we wanted to
make those shapes live and die? Well, what we're gonna
do is we're gonna upgrade our point system to a particle system.

This lets us have a much
more dynamic organic system and lets us add a lot more
features into our point system and then we can use instancing to place those shapes in those points.
