Welcome to Trail of Dead

(soft music) - [Rik] Welcome to Chapter Nine. Chapter Nine is called "Trail of Dead" and this chapter is really gonna talk about how we go outside of the box, but what does that actually mean? Well, when we're making custom artwork that looks like this on screen, sometimes our tools don't support that. What happens if we want to go outside of the box and make something that doesn't actually exist in TouchDesigner itself? Well, we'll have to break things apart and make those tools ourself.

When we have a limited tool set but an unlimited imagination, sometimes we have to make things ourselves, so this chapter we're mainly talking about how we break things apart and deconstruct them to essentially build our own tools.
