Our client appears!

- So, I've just switched back to my computer and let's check my emails. So, I'm just gonna quickly go back, and as we can see I've got a brand new email. And this is from Aria, let's see what she says. So in here it says "Hi Rik, my name is Aria I got your info from Dan who said you may be able to help". Now Dan and Aria are made up of course, and their fake clients, but let's kind of go with it. I've just gone freelance for my art practice an I'm looking for a modern and clean website where people can view my work and contact me for commissions.

Let me know what the next steps will be. Now, of course we can't just make a website from this, it's not enough information. So we need to work out kind of a few things from this. We need to work out, well one the purpose of the site. We kind of know from this, is a place to view work and contact me. So we're kind of thinking about it as a portfolio. The next thing we need to work out is what pages there are on this website. So we can kind of take a guess at some of this.

Like, there's a work page, and a contact page. Maybe there's other pages that we don't know about. Maybe an about page, maybe there's sub pages in here as well. There's still not enough that we can actually work with for this. The other thing that we need to work out is design. So, does she have any design work? Does she have a logo? Is there any kind of color schemes that she wants to use or any type property that she wants to use? At the moment we can just see that there's more than a clean website and that really doesn't give us a lot of information.

So what we want to do is actually ask a few questions. We need to work out what exactly is this website? We needs to say, what is the design work? Do you have a logo, what pages are gonna be on this site? Now I can guess at some of this stuff, but we want to make sure. I want to make sure what I think is what Aria is thinking as well. So, I'm just gonna quickly write an email to kind of get some of this information from her. So, I'm gonna quickly do this.

Okay, so I've just written an email back. So I said the usual stuff like thanks for reaching out, sounds like a fun project. Now the main thing is the questions I have. So I need to work out if she has any logos, any color, or any fonts, or typography that she'd like me to use on the project. So she might already have some of this stuff, we don't know yet. We need to also work out what pages will be on the site. So we're guessing at the moment, but we want to confirm.

And the last thing we need to work out is any of the copyrighting or assets that we'd like to be used on the site. So, you know it does help if she has some stuff for us to use on the site. And I'm gonna send this email and I'm gonna see exactly what she comes back with. I'm gonna click send and we're gonna wait for her reply.
